Outdated Dating Stigmas That Women Should Let Go

Has anyone told you to never date your friend’s past lovers? Do you still feel pressured to dress up with stilettos? Otherwise, society won’t accept you. Or worse, the other person might consider you a freak.

Truth be told, all of these things are now in the past. Thank God!

It is the 21st century with a generation that has an open-minded view on things, and that includes dating. All of those dating norms that your parents followed are not mandatory on you.

Relax ladies!

1. Making The First Move

So what if your partner hasn’t planned out the date yet? You can do it yourself.

If you have a place or activity in mind, you should definitely speak up and recommend it because why not?

Everybody tells us to let the man decide. But by deciding for yourself, you not only appear confident, but you also look genuinely interested. Who doesn’t love a confident woman?

2. Dressing Up As You Desire

This is the best one so far for the ladies. Remember when people had to wear graceful evening dresses with long high heels and had to look delicate for the entire time?

Well, guess what; That is history!

I’m not saying you do not have to look pretty. You can select the clothes you like and feel comfortable in according to the situation. This will let you focus on the date instead of “Sit still; Look pretty.”

3. Splitting The Bill

Don’t want to be that girl who engulfs every bit of money from the man? Don’t be!

If you really think that you want to split the bill on the first date or the bill seems too much to handle for a person, it would be incredible if you offered to spilt it.

Forget what the people have to say. If you prefer it that way, then it is your choice.

4. What If The Man Doesn’t Open The Door?

So you noticed that the man doesn’t pull out your chair every time you sit, or he forgets to open the door for you. But is he respectable in other ways? Does he acknowledge you and respect you?

If there are other honorable charms in that person, you should forget about that door. Different people have different priorities, and sometimes you should let go of the norms.

5. Intimacy On The First Date

Have you heard rule number 12, “Never kiss on a first date”? If your answer is yes, then you need to forget that rule ASAP!

Suppose your evening goes great and you absolutely adore that person. Not only does he possess all the qualities you love, but you also connect in a way that you ache for intimacy.

Take my advice and go for it! Of course, it would be a little awkward at first, but that is the start of a long-lasting relationship.

A little laugh, some awkwardness, and a whole lot of connectivity! That is what a perfect first date is!
